9:45am: Shares of SAIL were under pressureafter the company reported 33.9 per cent dip in net profit for the quarter endedDecember 2010 at Rs 1,107.47 crore as against Rs 1675.55 crore in thecorresponding quarter a year ago. Sales grew 17.5 per cent to Rs 12,276.81crore.

The stock was at Rs164.15, down 5.06 per cent on the BSE. It touched a high of Rs 167.95 and low ofRs 162.50 on volume of 5.16 lakhshares.




9:30am: Indian markets extended overnightlosses and slipped in the negative territory taking cues from weak global peers.Realty, metals and auto led the decline while technology stocks were marginallyhigher.

Bombay StockExchanges Sensex was at 19043.37, down 139.45 points or 0.73 per cent.The 30-share index touched a high of 19198.83 and low of 19041.90 in trade sofar.

National StockExchanges Nifty was at 5710.10, down 41.80 points or 0.73 per cent. Thebroader index touched a high of 5757.90 and low of 5709.65 in earlytrade.

BSE Midcap Index wasdown 0.59 per cent and BSE Smallcap Index moved 0.34 per centlower.
