Hero Honda re-appoints Toshiaki Nakagawa as Joint MD
NEW DELHI: Hero Honda today announced the re-appointment of its Joint Managing Director Toshiaki Nakagawa for a period of six months with effect from February 1, 2011.
In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange , the company said it board has re-appointed Nakagawa vide resolution passed by circulation on January 15, 2011.
Nakagawa, who had joined the company as Joint Managing Director on February 1, 2006, is a senior employee of the two-wheeler major's Japanese promoter - Honda Motor Co.
Earlier in the day, the company said that it has executed a final binding licensing agreement with the Japanese auto major, paving the way for separation of its promoters -- the Hero Group and Honda Motor Co.
The agreement was signed last week and it pertains to the existing and new products that it will offer in the Indian market once the Japanese firm exits the joint venture.
Hero Honda is a 26-year-old JV between the Hero Group and Honda Motor Co , with each partner holding a 26 per cent stake and the rest with public shareholders.
