Geojit BNP Paribas Fin Services Q3 net dips 10.42 pc

MUMBAI: Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services reported a decline of 10.42 per cent in its net profit at Rs 11.26 crore for the quarter ending December 31, 2010.

The financial services firm had posted a net profit of Rs 12.57 crore in the October-December quarter in 2009, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

However, the company's income from operations has risen to Rs 68.46 crore in the December quarter from Rs 66.71 crore in the year-ago period.

Shares of Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services closed at Rs 30.85, up 1.15 per cent from previous close on BSE.

ICEX sees more physical market players for iron ore contract

MUMBAI: Indian Commodity Exchange (ICEX), which launched world's first iron ore futures (IOF) contract on Saturday, expects more physical market participants using its platform for effective risk management and hedging activities.
